GÖKÇE DURAT BAL SCREENWRITER
She was born in 1982. After completing her education at Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School, she studied at Istanbul University's Dramaturgy Department. Between 2000 and 2004, she taught creative drama to children and took acting lessons from Mahir Gunshiray and Shahika Tekand.

In 2005 she joined Thomas Östermeier and became a stage manager of the Hedda Gabler project in Berlin /Schaubühne on a Goethe Institute scholarship.

Between 2006-2008, she worked as an assistant director for Emre Koyuncuoglu and Özen Yula, and she was also a copywriter for a program on TRT TV. At The 15th International Theatre Festival, she was the author and dramaturg for the adaptation of "M.E.D.E.A." In 2007, she directed the plays "Kuduz" and "Taksimetre" at the International Play Summer Festival. She has been writing scripts since 2009.
